Kristoffer Grybow, MD
Hi, my name is Kris. I am from Northwest Indiana and am very excited to be training at FWMEP.
I’m currently an Officer in the Indiana Army National Guard. I initially enlisted after high school in 2006 as a combat engineer. In 2011 after my first undergraduate degree, I commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. I had the amazing experience of being a Platoon Leader and working in operations here in Fort Wayne, IN, 1st Battalion 293rd Infantry Regiment. I now have the opportunity to serve in a medical role to support the needs of the Army.
After coming off of full-time orders in 2012, I decided to follow my passions in the medical field. Over the next few years, I began working on my nursing prerequisites and ultimately graduated from nursing school in 2015. Quickly after becoming a nurse, I realized that I wanted to learn more and do more for my patients.
I was accepted to Ross University, completing my rotations at Mt Sinai and St. Anthony’s hospitals in Chicago, IL. I chose FWMEP because of the positive culture as well as the breadth and depth of training offered. I’m also very excited for my wife to finish up veterinary school at Purdue and come join me in Fort Wayne!
Outside of medicine, I enjoy running, biking, and trying out new hobbies (right now, I enjoy flying my drone). I also love spending time with my wife and our two dogs, Cato and Chance. My wife and I are huge Disney buffs and try to get to Disney World once a year.
