Medical Student Education
We are glad that you are considering the city of Fort Wayne and surrounding region for a portion of your medical student education. We offer a select number of electives for both 3rd and 4th year students. Students who choose Fort Wayne will have the opportunity to work one on one with their assigned preceptors to obtain the most in-depth learning atmosphere possible.
We have a multi-hospital system, which consists of the two hospitals below. For more information regarding these hospitals please refer to the direct links.
Preference is given to applicants who meet the following criteria:
Currently in good standing with an accredited/approved medical school.
Passed all USMLE / COMLEX exams and Course Work taken thus far on the first attempt.
For a Family Medicine Audition Rotation - Must meet basic criteria for being granted an interview should you apply to the FWMEP residency program.

International Medical Schools approved by the Medical Licensing Board of Indiana
When:
Applications must be submitted at least 90 days prior to the start of the requested rotation.
Those selected for a rotation will be notified by email.
The Family Medicine Audition Rotation is only available to current seniors who are applying to FWMEP's residency program and who meet the minimum requirements of the Residency Application Process. This rotation is available from August through December. All applications for this rotation must be received by May 1st.
