Ravi D. Raju, MD, Assistant Director
Since starting my private practice in 1997, I have been actively involved in teaching the residents here at Fort Wayne Medical Education Program. In 2001, I became the Assistant Director of Obstetrics for FWMEP. I am involved in hands on teaching normal and operative vaginal deliveries along with caesarian sections. I staff the high-risk obstetrics clinic for the residents on Wednesday afternoons. I also enjoy teaching and helping with resident research projects.
I am board certified in OB-GYN and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, Indiana Medical Association, and the Fort Wayne Medical Society. I am chairman of the Physician Leadership Group at St. Joseph Hospital. I helped start the Robotic GYN surgery program at Lutheran Hospital where I continue to be a proctor for other physicians. Residents rotate with me and my colleagues in the office to learn the full-spectrum of gynecologic conditions.
I have been in Fort Wayne for 18 years and am happily married with 3 kids, a set of twin daughters and a son.
